Exegesis 18 Plays

A news update for any of those who are watching!!

First bit of news then… we are supporting Pelican on the 7th April at their gig at The Garage, Highbury, London. Details here. This is an exciting opportunity for us, and we are grateful for it!

Unfortunately, Dylan our vocalist has decided to part ways with us. There are no sour grapes, and we are all still really good friends, but this is just something he had to do. So for the time being all TNBD gigs will be instrumental - save for a final show with Dylan, which is yet to be organised.

Finally, we only have five copies of Collapse on CD left - you should probably buy one, for yourself, or your cat, or your gran, or the hobo at the end of your street.

See you on the other side!

A few pics from a photo shoot just before CHristmas 2011 in Tamworth. Thanks to Stephen Vernon Clarke for taking the pics.

Tacoma Narrows Bridge Disaster will be taking to the stage on March 16th for a gig at The Workshop in Old Street, London. The night is called Louder Clouds and will be a night of post rock and experimental music. Should be a good night in a cosy venue in central so pop along to catch our set and the other bands performing that evening. £4/6 on the door.

See you there.

It’s been a pretty crazy two weeks. The album was launched on the 2nd of Feb, and our album launch at 93FeetEast, London, went ahead - a few technical hitches, but it was a splendid night! Everyone seemed to have lots of fun, and we felt very humbled to have been able to play such an epic show. Big thanks to Flies Are Spies From Hell, Eschar, and Orders Of The British Empire, for helping put on a great night.

Sheffield followed on the Friday night; a small venue called The Red House. Yes, it’s tiny, but a really crazy atmosphere in that place. We’ve played there twice now and the sound has been great both times. This would be our first exposure to playing guitars amongst the audience - small stages are a challenge, especially when you add a fifth member!

Edinburgh was a fantastic night, as was the Glasgow - it was bloomin’ cold oop norf!!

Massive thanks to our tour buddies, Naisian and What The Blood Revealed. Go and buy their shizzle.

The album was reviewed in Metal Hammer, who seemed to think we were the successors to ISIS - a charming opinion, if a little weird. They gave us an 8/10, which was nice!

Reviews were also posted online, one of our favourite ones was on a website called No Clean Singing - very surprising that they decided to review it!

Tacoma Narrows Bridge Disaster on are the verge of finishing and releasing their second album, Exegesis, which will be available early next year. Launch date and subsequent UK tour to be announced imminently so watch this space for details. It has been a long slog, with recording starting in April and only finishing in October but it will all be worth it. The tracks are sounding great, the artwork is close to being done and the band has not murdered one another (a common problem during the mixing process). Progress!

This Saturday TNBD will be onstage headlinging the last Facemelter of the year. Always awesome progressive rock and metal night, The Facemelter, will be a last chance to see the boys in action before the eagerly anticipated release of the new album, Exegesis, in February 2012. Onsatge at 11.10 but with an entire evening of progressive music including Eschar, Surrey based prog wunderkinds. £4 on the door, doors at 7.30. Sweet.
